Barkeep Sensors (“the app”) is made by Mule Labs, LLC. It is a companion app for Barkeep gateway and sensor hardware, used to monitor temperature, pressure, and equipment conditions in bars, breweries, and similar venues. This policy describes what information the app handles and why.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a password, used solely to create and sign in to your account.
- Alert contact details.Phone numbers and email addresses you choose to add so that alert notifications (SMS/email) can be delivered. You are responsible for having permission to add another person's contact details.
- Sensor and device data.Readings reported by your gateway hardware, such as temperatures, pressures, battery levels, signal quality, and device status, associated with your account's organization.
- Push notification token.If you enable notifications, Apple's push token for your device is stored so alerts can be delivered to your phone.
What we don't do
- No advertising, ad networks, or cross-app tracking.
- No analytics SDKs or behavioral profiling.
- No sale or rental of your information to anyone.
- No collection of your location, contacts, photos, or browsing activity.
How your information is used
Only to operate the service: authenticating you, displaying your sensor data, evaluating your alert thresholds, and delivering the alerts you configure (push, SMS, and email).
Service providers
The app relies on a small set of processors to function: Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting), Apple (push notification delivery), Twilio (SMS alert delivery), SendGrid (email alert delivery), and Particle (device cloud connectivity for gateway hardware). Each receives only the data required to perform its function.
Data retention
Sensor readings are retained for 90 days and gateway heartbeat records for 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted. Account information, alert contacts, and configuration are retained until you delete them or delete your account.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account, sensor data, thresholds, alert history, and alert contacts. Gateway hardware is released so it can be set up again by another account.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with access controls that restrict each account to its own organization's data.
Children
The app is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and the current version will always be available at this address.
